Coronavirus Update: India’s Covid-19 Count Crosses 1.12 Lakh With 5,609 New Cases; Here’s The Latest State-Wise Breakup

With 5,609 new cases in the last 24 hours, India's total case count of coronavirus jumped to 112,359, the Union Health Ministry data revealed on Thursday (21 May).
According to the Health Ministry, of the total, 63,624 are active cases while at least 45,300 people have been cured of the disease.
At least 132 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatality count to 3,435.
In Maharashtra, the Covid-19 cases climbed to 39,297, followed by Tamil Nadu which has 13,191 cases, and Gujarat with 12,537 cases so far.
Maharashtra has also reported the highest number of deaths, 1,390, followed by 749 in Gujarat and 267 in Madhya Pradesh.
The Covid-19 cases in Delhi have increased to 11,088, according to the Health Ministry data.
States which have reported more than 5,000 cases are Rajasthan (6,015), Madhya Pradesh (5,735), and Uttar Pradesh (5,175).
