Delhi: Passengers To Enjoy Contactless Ticketing As ‘Chartr’ App Trial In 3,700 DTC Buses Reaches Final Phase

The Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System has today started the final phase of trial of contactless ticketing system in around 3,000 cluster buses run by DIMTS through the ‘Chartr’ app.
Around 3,700 buses run by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) are undergoing the trial of the ‘Chartr’ app, reports Financial Express.
Reportedly, around four lakh tickets have been booked so far using the app of which the pink tickets for women commuters, who travel in public transport buses free of cost, comprise 67 per cent of the total tickets booked through the app.
Around 10,000 tickets are booked daily on the app and the booking witnessed a 10 per cent increase on a daily basis in the last ten days. More than two lakh people have downloaded the app since its release.
The trial of the ‘Chartr’ app released in August 2020 has been extended to all 3,760 DTC buses till 31 March 2021.
