In a press conference on Friday (10 January), Delhi Police has alleged that JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh along with other members of Left-wing students were mainly involved in the JNU violence which happened on Sunday, reports India Today.

According to DCP (crime) Joy Tirkey, police have identified some students who were involved in the violence. They have also disclosed names of nine people along with their photographs.

"Unfortunately the CCTV footages were not available to us as the server room was vandalised a day before. We have identified some people based on viral videos and other investigations," Joy Tirkey said.

He also reportedly said that the Police have made no arrests as of now. He also added that notices would be given to the identified people and would be questioned about their presence during the violence.

Additionally, DCP Tirkey informed that the investigations are going on and more names would be revealed in further press conferences.
