Former AAP Minister Kapil Mishra turned BJP leader who was unceremoniously relieved of his portfolios by Arvind Kejriwal after he accused the latter of corruption, is now leading from the Model Town constituency.
The counting of votes though is now said to have temporarily halted in the constituency.
Mishra who had turned a rebel AAP leader before ultimately joining the BJP, is known as one of AAP’s and Kejriwal’s biggest critics. He was said to have been one of the key opposition voices in the AAP dominated Delhi assembly.
Along with Tajinder Bagga, Mishra has emerged as one of the well known Delhi BJP leaders who were given an assembly ticket by the party. Bagga is also leading from the Hari Nagar constituency.
