Delhi police have appealed to Muslims to not come out on roads on Shab-e-Barat on the intervening night of 8 and 9 April.
The police have also warned of legal action against people who violate this appeal. Bursting of fire-crackers is also not allowed.
The official handle of Delhi police tweeted on 5 April:

“Lockdown is in force even on the sacred night of Shab-e-Barat on 8th and 9th April, 2020. Don’t misuse it by coming out on bikes and create chaos on the streets of Delhi,” the post said.
As per a report by The Times of India, the police also held a meeting with Muslim leaders in different areas to check gathering.
Shab-e-Barat is considered the night of forgiveness, or Day of Atonement, in Islam. It is said to be the night when Allah forgives sinners. The festival comes in the run-up to Ramzan.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
