Displaying trust in Indian Parliament's decision making and democratic principles, Russian Ambassador to India, Nikolay R Kudashev on Friday (17 January) said that he does not feel that there is a reason to travel to Kashmir as it is an internal matter of India, reports Asian News International (ANI).

When asked whether Ambassador Kudashev was planning to visit Kashmir Valley, he replied to mediapersons, "Your decisions, as far as Jammu and Kashmir are concerned, this is your internal matter belonging to the constitutional space of India."

Further displaying faith in Indian policymakers and administrators, Ambassador Kudashev said, "Those who are concerned about the situation in Kashmir, those who put in doubt the Indian policies in Kashmir, they could travel if they wish. They could see for themselves. We never put it in doubt."

The strong statement from Russian Ambassador in support of India's handling of the matters with respect to Kashmir Valley comes merely days after a delegation of 15 Ambassadors from a host of nations including the United States and Bangladesh had visited Kashmir Valley for a period of two days to see the efforts being made by the Government in the region.
