Fighting Scams With Cams: From Now, Medical Exams Will Be Held Under CCTV Surveillance In Maharashtra University

As the medical exams are coming up in Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, the management has said that the 123 centres that will conduct the exams will have CCTV cameras. The recordings will be saved for future use, they say.
The theory exams that are conducted in winter will see 51,000 students taking it up this year. The exams will begin from 27 November. The decision to record CCTV footage is to ensure transparency. Incidents of cheating have been recorded earlier.
Jagran Josh reported that a dress code, and a rather strict one at that, has been implemented for those taking up the exams. Based on the lines of National eligibility Cum Entrance Test, a central room to store belongings of the candidates will be implemented.
Those students wearing burqa/scarf will be checked without any exemptions. Female supervisors have been appointed to check women students.
