Former Rajasthan chief minister and Senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje and her son, BJP MP Dushyant Singh have tested negative for the novel coronavirus.

The former CM took to Twitter to inform the public of her test results. Raje said that even though the test results are negative, both she and her son will continue to remain in isolation for 15 days.

Vasundhara Raje and Dushyant Singh had both disclosed yesterday (20 March) that they attended a party in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow earlier this week that was also attended by popular Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor.

On Friday (20 March), Kanika Kapoor had confirmed she had been infected by the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.

"While in Lucknow, I attended a dinner with my son Dushyant & his in-laws. Kanika, who has unfortunately tested positive for #Covid19 was also a guest," tweeted the former Rajasthan CM.

"As a matter of abundant caution, my son and I have immediately self-quarantined and we're taking all necessary precautions," she added.

Over 200 people were present in the party and health officials said they would try to find out more details on who was present in the party and if they contacted anyone who is in Rajasthan.
