Former foreign secretary of India S Jaishankar on Thursday (30 May) reached the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, fuelling speculation that he would become a minister in the new government.

Jaishankar is currently the group president at Tata and had served as India’s foreign secretary from January 2015 to January 2018. During his tenure he had resolve the Doklam standoff.
