Government ‘AIIMS’ For Swasthya Suraksha: Newly Established Colleges Get Director’s Post

The Narendra Modi headed Cabinet ratified setting up of the director's post in six newly formed All India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS).
The directors will be appointed in the branches of AIIMS at Raebareli and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Bathinda in Punjab, Guwahati in Assam, Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand's Deogha , as reported by TOI.
The official statement read that the Cabinet approved the creation of the post with "the basic pay of Rs 2,25,000 (fixed) plus NPA but not exceeding Rs 2,37,500".
The director is the chief executive officer (CEO) of the institute and has the overall charge of its administration. He allots duties to officers and employees of the institute and monitors its day to day functioning.
The new AIIMS are a part of PM Modi’s Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana to set up and create a world-class medical talent pool and provide reliable and affordable healthcare facilities to Indians.
