Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, speaking at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Summit in Visakhapatnam today (27 January), said that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime is in the final stages of implementation, adding that the move will lead to simplification of the taxation system and increase in government’s revenue.
