A Hyderabad based advocate named Karuna Sagar Kashimshetty has filed an FIR against Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar for allegedly posting seditious tweet, instigating people of different communities, reports Asian News International (ANI).

Kashimshetty in his complaint alleged that with his ‘seditious’ tweet, Akhtar tried to create chaos and fear, thereby instigating Muslims, transgenders, Dalits and atheists to wage war against the nation, the police said. The lawyer has also stressed that Akhtar's tweet may lead to promotion of enmity between different communities.

The complaint has also stressed that the post tweeted by Akhtar has a picture of a distorted map of India which showed Aksai Chin and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) as separate entities from the Indian landmass.

Kashimshetty further stated that Akhtar has deliberately posted the picture on his twitter handle twisting the facts to create fear and alarm among the public, and instigate them, after which several protestors all over India had indulged in violence causing severe damage to the public and private properties also leaving several persons including police injures, creating severe law and order problem across nation.
