Actor Kamal Haasan said if Rajinikanth joined politics, he would like to work with him. “Give me a signal…. If Rajinikanth comes to politics we can talk, won’t I join him?, the actor said a day after confirming that he would be joining politics. “Though we are rivals in our industry, we consult for key issues,” the 62-year-old actor said in Chennai.
Following the deepening political crisis in Tamil Nadu, the megastars have been giving out hints of entering politics, though Kamal Haasan has been a lot more forthcoming about his political intentions as compared to Rajinikanth, who has kept his massive fan following guessing for several months.
Kamal Haasan has even said he was thinking of launching a political party, out of compulsion and not choice, as there was no party that can presently provide a platform for his reformatory agenda.
Rajinikanth, on the other hand, predictably said he has no political aspirations but will consider taking the path ‘if it’s God’s will’. Hinting at joining politics, he said, “You have responsibilities and so do I. go home and do the needful. When the war comes we shall see.” He also said that the system has to change.
