Indian Army Defeats China And Russia To Win International Scout Master Competition At Jaisalmer

A contingent of the Indian Army emerged as the winner in International Scout Master Competition after defeating seven countries including China and Russia at the event held at the Jaisalmer Military Station in Rajasthan.
Eight countries namely - India, Russia, China, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Sudan and Uzbekistan participated in the competition held between 6 and 14 August. It was the first time India hosted this competition, the last edition was held in Russia’s Novosibirsk.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was the chief guest at the event which was also attended by Army Chief Bipin Rawat. The Defence Minister awarded the champions trophy to India and the runners up trophy to
The competition involved the participation of elite scout and reconnaissance teams involved in military gathering. Only highly trained and experienced personnel get to be part of these teams after a rigorous selection process.
