The First ever Edition of the Chennai Lit Fest, organised by Indoi Analytics will be conducted on 26 and 27 March 2021.
The Literary Festival seeks to showcase perspectives, intellects and cultural aspects of Tamil Nadu which have not received mainstream attention so far.
Two parallel tracks, in Tamil and English, will feature the literary giant Smt Shivashankari, the leading writer of his generation Charu Nivedita, and a wide range of public intellectuals – Prof V V Subramaniam, ‘Hindu’ Natarajan, ‘DravidaMayai’ Subbu, Keezhambur Sankara Subramaniam, Prafulla Ketkar and Sunil Ambekar.
This event is being conducted with a view to providing established Tamil intellectuals and creators with the means to reach out to the public and for budding writers, artists and creators to showcase their abilities.
The organisers of the Chennai Lit Fest believe that this will be a entirely new effort in the Tamil literary scene to bring out voices and viewpoints not given wider visibility till now.
Entry is free for all members of the public.
Overall, there will be 20 sessions, 11 in Tamil and 9 in English, spread over these 2 days. There will be live music, cultural performances and scintillating intellectual exchanges.
