Co-founders of AIB, Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba will step away from any association with the group.
Tanmay Bhat, who is AIB's CEO, won't be associated with the everyday working of the group after having been dragged into the #MeToo firestorm that has been enveloping the Indian social media in the course of the past couple of days.
Gursimran Khamba meanwhile has been put on temporary leave following allegations that he emotionally harassed a woman.
In an Instagram post, Khamba confessed to behaving inappropriately but denied being "forceful".

These facts were made public by the AIB in a statement that didn't specify why Tanmay Bhat was leaving. There however, have been recent social media disclosures that Bhat knew about the sexual harassment allegations against fellow comedian and former AIB member Utsav Chakraborty.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
