Twenty-seven more people tested positive on Wednesday (22 April) pushing the number of Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) to 407. All the new cases were in the Kashmir division, raising the number there to 351, said Rohit Kansal, government spokesman, on Wednesday.
The number of cases in the Jammu division stands at 56.
Of the new cases in the Kashmir division, 14 belonged to Shopian, 7 to Bandipora, 4 to Kupwara, and one each to Baramulla and Anantnag districts.
While Covid-19 has claimed 5 lives, 81 patients have recovered. There are 321 active cases in J&K of whom 38 are in the Jammu division and 283 in the Kashmir division.
