Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seems like a changed person. In a U-turn from his favourite pastime of blaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi for all his woes, real and imagined, Kejriwal is full of praise for Modi now. The Delhi CM said on Monday that he salutes Modi for acting tough against Pakistan in the wake of the Uri attack.

"We fully support the PM on surgical strikes. Urge him to similarly counter Pakistan's dirty propaganda. I salute Prime Minister Narendra Modiji," said Kejriwal.

He was referring to Pakistan flying in media persons to the Line of Control to disprove the surgical strikes carried out by India's special forces inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Kejriwal has backed the union government and congratulated the country's defence forces after last week's surgical strikes, but this is the first time that he has mouthed such fulsome praise for Modi.

But more than a change of heart on his part, this U-turn may have been caused by his reading of the public mood, which has turned overwhelmingly in favour of Modi after the surgical strikes.
