Kerala: ‘Kiss Of Love’ Activist Couple Chargesheeted For Sex Trafficking Of Minor Girls

The crime branch of Kerala police on Monday (23 December) filed the charge sheet at the POCSO Special Court in Thiruvananthpuram against the model-cum-activist Reshmi R Nair and her husband Rahul Pashupalann in connection with online sex trafficking case, reports The New Indian Express.

According to the report, the Inspector General (IG) of the crime branch S Sreejith filed the chargesheet. Sreejith had also headed the ‘Operation Big Daddy’ that busted the racket which was indulging in trafficking of women and minor girls and using them for prostitution.

A Crime Branch team had arrested Reshmi and her husband from Nedumbasserry in 2015.

According to the charge sheet, the couple, who were part of the Kiss of Love campaign, had trafficked minor girls from Bengaluru to Kerala and used them for prostitution. Besides the husband-wife duo, the crime branch had also made 11 other people accused in the case.

As per the report, the crime branch had launched the Operation Big Daddy curb the online prostitution and escorting activities that were found thriving in the state.
