Troubles seem to be mounting for former Union Home and Finance Minister P Chidambaram after the Delhi High Court refused to grant him an anticipatory bail in the INX Media scam and called him the 'kingpin' and 'key conspirator' in the scam, reports India Today.
The Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi also refused an urgent hearing for Chidambaram, and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) did not waste any time and started to look out for the senior Congress party leader.
When both the agencies were unable to find Chidambaram at his residence, CBI went on to issue a notice against him. The notice which was posted outside Chidambaram's house mentioned that he must show up at the Economic Offences wing at the CBI headquarters within two hours from the time of receipt.
Senior Congress party leaders Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi who are also top Supreme Court lawyers will be now taking Chidambaram's appeal for an anticipatory bail to senior most justice of the Supreme Court, available on Wednesday.
The legal team of P Chidambaram has asked the CBI not to take any coercive action against the former Union finance minister as his petition is to be heard in the Supreme Court Wednesday morning.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
