Kumbh JioPhone: Reliance Launches App To Aid Pilgrims During World’s Largest Holy Gathering At Prayagraj

Keeping in view the upcoming Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, telecom company Reliance Jio has launched an app with a family locator, lost and found feature and other customised services for its users, reports Mint.
According to the report, the app, which is named as ‘Kumbh JioPhone’ can be downloaded from Jio store. It has a ‘Family Locator’ feature to help attendees to stay in touch with their close ones by getting their exact location along with called ‘Khoya Paya’ (Lost and Found) feature.
Jio, in a statement, said that it was working with the UP Police and KASH IT to make sure that the “experience is delivered”.
The Kumbh Mela is the world’s largest human congregation, with over 130 million pilgrims taking a dip in the holy waters in a span of just 55 days. This time, it is set to take place on 15 January and 4 March in Prayagraj.
As per the report, apart from these safety features, the Jio Kumbh app will have information regarding the Kumbh, travel information including special trains and buses, emergency numbers and helplines, shelters at stations, area maps and routes.
