The Greater Hyderabad Road Transport Corporation (RTC) is thinking about introducing more services in the high traffic routes to meet passenger needs especially in areas around Hi-Tec city, reports The Hans India.
Route surveys are being conducted by RTC officials to add feeder services connecting various Metro stations with nearby areas, in light of services starting in the Hi-Tec city area next month.
Officials are also reportedly planning alternative routes based on public opinion. Almost 3-4 lakh commuters ply between Mythrivanam and Hi-Tec city everyday using buses. However, the RTC runs around 4,000 trips from Secunderabad to Hi-Tec city, excluding 12 services between Mythrivanam and Hi-Tec city.
The authorities are also identifying feeder routes connecting metro stations in Hi-Tec city corridor with nearby colonies.
Reports suggest that the RTC is also planning to connect Borubanda, Moti Nagar, Erragadda, Panjagutta, Srinagar Colony and Vengalrao Nagar colonies to the metro station at Yousufguda check-post through feeder services.
The RTC had already started some feeder services in other Metro corridors based on public demands and is currently planning to extend the services to the new corridor.
The RTC is also looking to add 5-10 electrical buses to the routes connecting metro stations.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
