As per initial trends for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Aam Aadmi Party is on road to score a duck in the National Capital after the BJP is leading on all seven seats. AAP leader Raghav Chaddha is trailing against BJP’s Ramesh Bhiduri by 11,000 votes.
Ace cricketer Gautam Gambhir is leading the East Delhi seat at the expense of AAP’s Atishi Marlena. Former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is trailing against BJP Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari by almost 17,000 votes.
The exit-polls too had predicted a BJP sweep of the national capital with the Congress too predicted to get zero seats.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
