Lok Sabha Results: NDA Crosses Majority Mark In Early Trends; Sweeps North India, Odisha, Karnataka

The BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has crossed the majority mark as the early leads of the Lok Sabha 2019 have begun taking shape. The alliance is sweeping states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
The party has amassed a big lead in states like Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and is neck on neck with the Trinamool in West Bengal.
As per latest trends, the NDA is leading on 281 seats, UPA is a distant second with 85 leads and other parties are leading on 72 seats. The trends for over 100 seats are yet to come.
These trends are in line with various exit polls which predicted a comfortable majority for the NDA.
