It should be noted that the Congress party and its supporters on Wednesday (22 April) launched an extensive social media campaign demanding the arrest of senior journalist Arnab Goswami over his comments criticising party president Sonia Gandhi over her silence on the brutal lynching and murder of Sadhus in Palghar.
The campaign against Arnab Goswami was supported by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot who demanded that he be sacked from Republic TV - a channel which he himself owns.
The Congress leaders and supporters are reportedly miffed over a clip of him criticising Sonia Gandhi for her alleged silence on the brutal lynching and murder of Sadhus in Palghar, Maharashtra.
