Narendra Modi on Thursday (30 May) took oath for the second time in a row as the Prime Minister of India from the splendid stage of the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the gallery outside the Darbar Hall in New Delhi with the words “Main Narendra Damodardas Modi Ishwar Ki Shapath Leta Hoon...”.
The oath was administered as per protocol by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Earlier, a cheerful Prime Minster Modi was greeted with ‘Modi Modi’ slogans as he entered the Rashtrapati Bhavan while wearing a white kurta-paijama and a Modi jacket.
The special swearing-in ceremony was the biggest event in the history of the Rashtrapati Bhavan with over 8,000 delegates in attendance.
Prime Minister Modi stormed back to power on 23 May with a historic mandate of 303 seats just for the BJP. Along with Prime Minister Modi, top politicians like Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar are expected to take oath as Ministers.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
