In a surprise attack, a large group of militants attacked a paramilitary camp in Manipur's Noney district and fled with nine assorted automatic guns, as per official sources. The camp, located about 10 km away from the national highway, houses security forces protecting personnel of the Bharatiya Infos Pvt Ltd undertaking tunnelling for rail lines there.
Reinforcements had been dispatched to the area while officials at the spot said that they are making inventory of the arms and ammunition lost. They later announced that the militants had made away with four self-loading rifles, four INSAS rifles and an AK 47 rifle and some assorted ammunition.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
