MMRC Achieves Two Breakthroughs At Vidhan Bhavan And Vidyanagari South Shaft For Mumbai Metro-3 Project

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) on Thursday (25 April) announced two important breakthroughs at Vidhan Bhavan metro station and the Vidyanagari south shaft respectively for the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 corridor, Rail Analysis India reports.
“TBM Godavari- 4 delivers 12th breakthrough for MMRC & a 3rd one for PKG 5 at Vidyanagari south shaft. With this Metro 3 today accomplished 2 breakthroughs in a day with first one being at #VidhanBhavan stn this morning”, stated a tweet from MMRC.
Earlier the MMRC had revealed the breakthrough at Vidhan Bhavan metro station through the MMRC’s PKG 1 as well as TBM Surya 1 reaching its destination after tunnelling across 1.2 kilometres.
The MMRC also completed cumulative tunnelling of five kilometres in the PKG 5. “TBMs Godavari – 1, 2,3 & 4 achieved this feat tunnelling between #BKC #Vidyanagari #Santacruz & #CSMIA Domestic metro station,” MMRC added in another tweet.
