Citizens in Jharkhand have been receiving thousands of letters addressed from the Prime Minister himself, that speaks about the government’s new health scheme Ayushman Bharat. A brain-child of the Union Ministry for Health and Family Welfare, Ayushman Bharat is also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
The government has planned a grand launch of the scheme in Ranchi on 23 September, reported Times of India. More than 10 crore families who will be the beneficiaries of the scheme are being mailed with the letter from the PMO. Across Jharkhand’s Ranchi, Hazaribag, Deogarh districts, nearly two lakh letters are being dispatched.
According to Dinesh Arora, deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat, personalised beneficiary letters from the Prime Minister with family cards for the scheme were distributed to some people in Rathu block in Ranchi on Wednesday (20 September).

The letter reads a message from the Prime Minister, which quotes as saying, “You can avail the scheme in hospitals in your area and selected health facilities across the country. I hope you will receive complete treatment without the need to worry about the expense and without hassles. I pray to God for your family’s wellbeing and prosperity.”
