A 19-year-old aspiring model identified as Khushi Parihar is believed to have been murdered by her boyfriend Ashraf Sheikh after he reportedly suspected her character and did not like her closeness to various youths, Press Trust of India has reported.
Parihar’s body was recovered near the Pandhurna-Nagpur highway in a mutilated condition with her head smashed on Sunday morning (14 July) following which the police arrested Sheikh.
The police officials have been quoted as saying that Sheikh has already confessed to killing Parihar as “he suspected her character and "closeness" with some youths”. Parihar dreamt of becoming a model and had participated in various local fashion shows.
The report claims that the couple were travelling in the accused’s car on 12 July when he allegedly killed her by crushing her head at Savli Fata following a quarrel.
