Combing operations are underway in Nagrota to neutralise any possible explosive material brought in by terrorists and to look for the fourth terrorist which the army suspects is holed up in the area. The doubts about the presence of a fourth terrorist are due to intermittent firing after the elimination of three terrorists who stormed the area were shot.

Search operations were resumed today (30 November) inside the Nagrota army camp that was attacked by terrorists on Tuesday killing seven soldiers, including two officers. "The search operation inside the camp was resumed with the first light of day. The operation was halted due to darkness yesterday (29 November) evening," army sources said.

Three militants were also killed in the operation that lasted nearly 14 hours after suicide militants dressed in police uniform stormed the 166 field regiment camp at 5.30 am. Two officers identified as Major Gosavi Kunal Mannadir and Major Akshay Girish Kumar were among the seven soldiers killed in the terror attack. Others killed included Havaldar Sukhraj Singh, Lance Naik Kadam Sam bhaji Yeshwantro, Grenadier Raghvendra Singh and Rifleman Azim Rai.
