Praising his party president, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu said that he would quit politics if Rahul Gandhi lost the Lok Sabha elections in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh (UP), reports Hindustan Times.
In hindsight, even after the Congress Party won the three assembly elections in December 2018, Sidhu had immediately proclaimed Rahul Gandhi as the 'man of the Match' and' 'Man of the Series'.
Former BJP leader who is now a minister in the Congress government of Punjab also lauded former Congress party president and incumbent UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, claiming that people should learn nationalism from the sitting MP from Rae Bareli.
Adding to his praise, he further lauded that Sonia Gandhi led the Congress party ably after her husband Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated and said that it was under her leadership that Congress could retain power at the Centre for 10 years from 2004 to 2014.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
