Amidst a spree of snatching incidents all over Delhi, the latest victim is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's niece Damayanti Ben Modi.
According to a report from India Today, Damayanti Ben Modi, daughter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brother, returned to Delhi from Amritsar on Saturday (12 October) morning. She had booked a room at Gujarati Samaj Bhavan in Civil Lines area. When she reached the gates of the hotel, two bike-borne miscreants snatched her purse and fled from the spot
At the time she had Rs 56,000 in cash, two mobile phones and important documents in her wallet. A case of snatching was later filed by her with a police station in Civil Lines area in New Delhi on Saturday.
The Police said that the investigation is underway.
