A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and National Stock Exchange (NSE) for collaborating on industry-leading cyber security solutions and practices, reports Financial Express.
“The IIT Kanpur-NSE partnership aims to create an environment that will not only negotiate and deal with current and future cyber security challenges in the Indian financial and capital markets, but also to develop tools to strengthen the cyber security framework,” NSE was quoted in a statement as saying.
Through this engagement, IIT Kanpur faculty will help NSE in areas of cyber security.
IIT Kanpur has reportedly established the C3I Centre (Cyber Security and Cyber Defense of Critical Infrastructures) funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
The centre is engaged in research on cyber security and cyber-defence of critical infrastructure, including financial markets infrastructure.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
