Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin today (29 June) alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to bring the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) so that he can cause communal violence and win the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
He made the remarks at a family wedding of former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLA from Gummidipoondi, K Venu.
“He (Mr. Modi) says the country could not run with the dual system of separate laws for separate religions. His idea is to create communal tension and law and order problems. He thinks he can win the next election through his plans. But let me say it in a firm manner. People are ready to teach a lesson to the BJP”, stated Stalin.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
