Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh and Dausa districts of Rajasthan on 30 September at 11 am via video-conferencing, an official release said on Wednesday (29 September).
These medical Colleges have been sanctioned under the centrally sponsored scheme for “Establishment of new medical colleges attached with district/referral hospitals”, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a release.
Under the scheme, preference to set up medical colleges is given to underserved, backward and aspirational districts.
Under three phases of the scheme, 157 new medical colleges have been approved across the nation, the release said.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology in Rajasthan's Jaipur. The institute has been set up by the Centre in collaboration with the Rajasthan government.
According to the release, the CIPET: IPT is self-sustainable and dedicatedly serves the needs of the petrochemical and allied industries. It will provide education to youth to become skilled technical professionals.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot will also be present on the occasion, the release said.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
