Following the Indian government’s decision end Jammu & Kashmir’s special status by doing away with Articles 370 and 35A of the constitution, activist from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) Senge H Sering has called upon the Indian government to provide representation in the parliament for Gilgit-Baltistan, reports Times Now News.
Sering asserts that providing Gilgit Baltistan representation in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will strengthen India’s claim over the territory which is currently in PoK. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, he also praised the government’s move of scrapping article 370 and making Ladakh a separate Union Territory.
I extend heartiest congratulations to the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra @narendramodi ji and the Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji for granting #unionterritory status to our beloved #Ladakh.

May the people of Ladakh prosper
May India prosper
Jai Hind
Moreover, Sering said that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who wanted to create a ‘new Pakistan’, should learn from Indian Home Minister Amit Shah.
During the parliament’s discussion over the decision to bifurcate J&K into two Union Territories (UTs) and revoke the state’s special status, Shah had "we are ready to give our lives for it."
