Indian Railways run National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) Vadodara has launched seven new academic programmes including two B Tech under-graduation, two MBA postgraduation programmes and three MSc programmes on core applied sectors, reports Financial Express.
The institute specialises in offering professional academic programmes to produce experts in dedicated transport-related areas.
The newly introduced BTech programmes focus on railway infrastructure engineering, and rail systems and communications engineering. The new MBA programmes meanwhile focus on transportation and supply chain domains. Meanwhile, the new MSc programmes focus on systems engineering and integration, systems as well as analytics, and policy and economics.
The apex institution's website states that it is the nation's first university focussed on transport-related education. Situated in Gujarat's Vadodara, the institution is fully funded by the Government of India.
The institution was established to create a resource pool of best-in-class professionals for railway and transportation sector. Presently, it is operating as a deemed to be university under de novo category.
