Ram Janmabhoomi Case: Mediation Process Begins In Faizabad, Heavy Security Presence In Place

The Supreme Court ordered mediation process in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute case today commenced in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, with the twenty five litigants in the matter and their respective counsels appearing before the court-appointed three-member mediation panel, reports The Hindu.
Notices to the parties were issued by the Faizabad administration on behalf of the panel. The venue for the mediation process is a hall at the Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University.
Heavy security arrangements have been made in the area, according to Faizabad District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha.
The three-member panel, comprising of retired Supreme Court judge Justice Kalifulla, Senior Advocate Sriram Panchu and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar reached the city yesterday (12 March). They are in Faizabad for three days as per their scheduled plan.
