Reliance Jio GigaFiber Finally Arrives: To Hit Markets On 5 September, Service Bundled With Amazing Offers

The long-awaited broadband service of Reliance Jio GigaFiber will be commercially launched on 5 September 2019, the third anniversary of Reliance Jio, reports Hindustan Times.

The announcement was made at the 42 Reliance Industries Limited Annual General Meeting on Monday (12 August). The basic plan offering 100 Mbps will be starting at a monthly rental of Rs 700. The most premium Jio Giga Fiber plan is priced at Rs 10,000 per month. The service will also have free fixed landline calling.

Further, Mukesh Ambani led telco is introducing a low-cost pack for US/Canada international calling at Rs 500 per month. By mid-2020, premium Jio GigaFiber customers can catch newly released movies on the same day with the ‘First Day First Show’ service. Jio Fiber will also come bundled with various OTT services.

Mukesh Ambani has also launched the ‘Jio Welcome Offer’ for customers opting annual plans. Under the offer, subscribers opting the ‘Jio Forever Plan’ will receive a Full HD TV or a Home PC along with a 4K set-top box free, Ambani said.

Speaking about the interest the service created, Ambani said that there were 15 million registrations across 1,600 towns. Further, Jio wants to reach 20 million homes and 15 million business investments.
