External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj, in the sixteenth trilateral meet of foreign ministers of Russia-India-China (RIC) being held in Wuzhen of China, on Wednesday (27 February) raised the issue of Pulwama terror attack, in which more than 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred, and said that Pakistan continues to be a safe haven for terrorists.
“We're aware of the recent dastardly terrorist attack on our security forces in Pulwama, J&K perpetrated by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a Pakistan based and supported terrorist org proscribed by UN (United Nations) and other countries. We lost over 40 CRPF personnel while several others are injured seriously,” Swaraj said.

She said that Pakistan continued to deny any knowledge of the attack instead of acting on the terror outfit JeM.
“Following the Pulwama terrorist attack instead of taking seriously the calls by international community to act against Jaish-e-Mohammed and other terror groups based in Pakistan, it denied any knowledge of the attack and outrightly dismissed claims by Jaish-e-Mohammed,” the EAM said.

Swaraj also asserted that India’s air strike on Pakistan-based JeM terror training camps in Pakistan was not a military action.
“It wasn't a military operation, no military installation were targeted. The objective was to act against terrorist infrastructure of JeM to pre-empt another terror attack in India. India doesn't wish to see further escalation of situation. It'll continue to act with responsibility and restraint," she said
