Sadhvi Pragya Thakur has demanded a CBI and NIA probe into the Palghar mob lynching case in which two sadhus and their driver were killed by a mob in April.

Sadhvi Pragya, who is Member of Parliament from Bhopal, raised the issue during the Zero Hour, saying that she is deeply pained by the mob lynching of the two sadhus.

She said that the sadhus were killed because they were Hindus, Sanatanis and wore saffron clothes.

Quoting a report, she said, “Is report main kaha gaya ki in santon ka itna dosh thha ki wo Hindu thhe, Sanatani the, Bhagwadaari thhe…” Sadhvi Pragya alleged that there was a conspiracy behind the killing of the two sadhus and their driver.

She said that Maharaj Kalpavrikshagiri and Sushilgiri Maharaj, the two sadhus killed by the mob, and their driver, represent the revered Panchdashnam Juna Akhada, where she comes from.

She also alleged that the CPI(M) has influence in the area.

"Maharaj, main peedit hoon, Mahoday main aapka dhyan aakarshit karna chahtee hoon ki aakhir yeh hua sab kaise..." she said, addressing Om Birla, questioning if the mob was already present at the area.

She also pointed a finger on the role of the policemen present in the area. She also alleged the role of CPI(M) in the area in "misguiding the people".

"Is sthhan ka purana itihaas hai," she said, alleging a conspiracy and alleging the role of the political organisation in religious conversion in the area, previously.

She also made allegations, saying that the political organisation brought people from outside to oppose CAA and NRC.

She stressed on the right of the local adivasis in the political system in the region, which, she said, has now gone to the CPI(M).
