Mathematician Anand Kumar, whose role will be played by Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming biopic Super 30, has revealed that he is suffering from an acoustic neuroma, reports Reddit. Acoustic neuroma is a non-cancerous tumour on the main nerve leading from the inner ear to the brain, affecting his hearing.
“The film’s writer wanted that I permit the film as quickly as possible. You have no idea of life and death, so I wanted this biopic to be made while I am alive,” Anand said elaborating why he was eager that the movie to releases as soon as possible.
“...They then called me and told I had no issues in my ear instead a tumour had been developed in the nerve which runs from ear to brain. And as soon I got to know this, I lost consciousness,” Anand Kumar recollects.
Super 30 is an upcoming biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar’s life. The movie is based on his Super 30 programme in which he teaches 30 underprivileged students to get into IIT-JEE, the entrance tests for admission into the Indian Institute of Technology. The movie hits theatres on 12 July.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
