The Delhi Police on Friday (19 June) filed a total of 12 more charge sheets against foreign nationals who had partaken in the Tablighi Jamaat's religious congregation in New Delhi's Nizamuddin area, flouting Government notifications and directions, reports Hindustan Times.
With the latest set of charge sheets, the total number of charge sheets filed by Delhi Police against such foreign nationals has touched 59.
Friday's charge sheets have been filed against a total of 41 foreigners who hail from 12 different nations, taking the total number of foreign nationals charged so far to 956. These people hail from a total of 36 different nations, with most of them belonging to Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that none of those charged has been taken into arrest so far. The foreigners are staying at different locations in Delhi which have been approved by the Delhi High Court.
For further proceedings, the court will now be hearing the matters on 25 June, 9 July and 16 July.
