The Ajay Devgan starring “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” has continued its box-office success by collecting Rs 26 crore on Sunday (12 January), which resulted in a growth of 30 per cent over the previous day.
This excellent weekend performance by the movie has propelled it into a strong contender for the Rs 100 crore club, Business Today has reported.
Based on the legendary Hindu warrior Tanhai Malusare and his valiant military leadership during the Battle of Sinhagad, the film had collected Rs 15.10 crore on opening day and Rs 20 crore on Saturday.
The movie has been a big hit in Maharashtra with Mumbai alone collecting Rs 27 crore. In Delhi NCR the film has grossed Rs 9 crore.
Thus in total the movie has grossed Rs 61.75 crore in the first three days. The film was produced with a budget of around Rs 150 crore.
