A group of terrorists on Tuesday (9 April) attacked a RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma in broad daylight at a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, India Today has reported.
The RSS leader escaped with injuries but his bodyguard was shot dead in the process. The leader is said to be an employee of the district hospital.
Reports have claimed that a gunman barged into the district hospital and began shooting at the RSS leader and his security officer. Police was rushed to the spot as a result. Internet services have been disconnected and a curfew has been imposed in Kishtwar as a precautionary measure.
Similarly in Nvember last year BJP state secretary Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit were also shot dead by terrorists.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
