Three TMC Leaders Accused In Narada Sting Case Hospitalised Due To ‘Uneasiness’, Hakim Still In Jail

Former Kolkata mayor Sovan Chatterjee and MLA Madan Mitra were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday (18 May) morning after complaints of uneasiness and discomfort.
Both the Trinamool Congress leaders were taken to the SSKM Hospital’s Woodburn Ward. Later, Subrata Mukherjee too complained of uneasiness and was rushed to the same hospital.
Late last night, Calcutta High court stayed the bail orders of four TMC leaders in the Narada Sting case.
The four accused were to remain in custody till the next hearing in the case on Wednesday (19 May), but only Firhad Hakim is at the Presidency jail, while the other three accused are hospitalised.
On Monday, TMC workers protested outside of the CBI office and pelted stone at the building even as chief minister Mamata Banerjee spent six hours on the CBI campus.
TMC workers were sitting on the road outside the CBI office and yelling slogans of ‘Hai Hai CBI’, ‘Hai Hai BJP’ till late night.
