A video has surfaced allegedly showing the president of the Congress party’s Tripura unit, Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman, slapping a man accused of attacking the convoy of his elder sister, Pragya Deb Burman.

Pragya Deb Burman is the Congress candidate from the constituency of East Tripura, and the alleged attacker who targeted her convoy was being detained at the Khowai police station.
Pradyot Deb Burman can be seen making aggressive gestures towards the accused even after police officials tried to diffuse the situation by physically coming in between the two.
