Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, G Kishan Reddy has been appointed as the new president of the Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He replaces Bandi Sanjay, the Lok Sabha MP from Karimnagar, who has been the state president since 2020.
Kishan Reddy's appointment comes at a time when the party has been facing infighting.
According to political commentators, the party might now make Sanjay a minister at the centre.
