In what may be termed as lucky escape, a Uttar Pradesh cop was saved when a bullet fired during a protest in Firozabad pierced through his bulletproof vest got stuck in his wallet, reports NDTV.
The cop identified as Vijendra Kumar feels like he has been granted a second life.
He reportedly said, "I was on duty in the Nalband area when some of the protestors opened fire at us. The bullet pierced my bullet vest and got stuck in the wallet that was kept in the pocket of my jacket.”

It should be noted that the protests against Citizenship Amendment Act turned violent at various place in Uttar Pradesh. There have been reports of vested interest fuelling unrest and supply arms to the protests. In this atmosphere, it is impertinent that people should not pay heed to the rumours and maintain peace in their neighbourhood.
However, as per police reports, the situation is getting under control gradually.
